Get to Know the Team! An Interview with Dr. Mike

April, 2018

What is your role/position?

Doctor

What are your duties within that role/position?

To be 100% present for patients, and to advise and guide them down their path to health.

What made you decide to become a chiropractor?

Chiropractic was a lifestyle for me growing up. I have been under Wellness care myself since the age of 7. As I grew older I knew I wanted an active job where I could impact peoples lives. I chose to study Kinesiology/Exercise Science during my undergraduate, and one day the light bulb just clicked on the path I needed to take, and that was Chiropractic.

What is your favorite thing about working at Thrive?

The best part of my day is seeing peoples’ eyes light up when they begin experiencing the changes in the way their bodies are functioning. Seeing someone accomplish a goal they thought was impossible, is truly beyond words.

How would you describe Thrive's philosophy? (Or your own!)

We seek to allow the body to function as it was meant to, as a self-healing organism.

How would you describe Thrive's atmosphere/environment?

We strive to have a warm, family friendly environment. A place to relax, open up and heal without the cold, sterility of a typical doctor’s office.

With your career, what are you looking to accomplish in the next two to four years?

Our goal is to bring our community and those that surround us to a higher level by promoting a mindset of health and wellness through prevention. We want to see our community grow and prosper as much as it can.

Outside of work, what is something you do for fun? A hobby?

One of the reasons I love being a chiropractic is I get to be active and work with my hands. My hobbies are no different. I love to get outside and hike, camp, bike. Kayak, rock climb, anything that gets me active in nature. I also love woodworking, metal working, and building trucks.

What is one unknown or fun fact about you?

Behind the beard is a total baby face.
